Ran across an interesting mentioning of GlobeTel’s Mr. Timothy Huff, president of Network 1 Communications (aka O’Fallon Wireless, St. Louis Wireless, Dardenne Prairie Wireless, Cottleville Wireless, St. Paul Wireless, Crestwood Wireless, Florissant Wireless, Brentwood Wireless, and Kirkwood Wireless).
Here is an entry dating back to 2006 regarding a reputation that is minimally questionable. It astounds me that Mr. Brian Bazzell was naive enough to take Network 1 Communication’s proposed wireless network and sign the dotted line.
The city of O’Fallon, MO was duped and Mr. Timothy Huff, telecommunications extraordinaire, is selling the same get up to the rest of St. Louis county. There was no transparency when O’Fallon committed to a 20-year agreement with Network 1 Communications to monopolize as an ISP using wireless technology that isn’t even capable of providing the Internet service efficiently.
The prices and packages offered by Network 1 Communications are too expensive for the speed. The price for 6 megabytes per second download throughou Network 1 is about the same for Charter Communication’s 10 megabytes per second.
The only thing Network 1 Communications pays for is the wireless receiver/transmitters. The rest is subsidized by the city of O’Fallon, MO (and other cities pending) and paying customers that are spending way too much money for such a little service.
We will continue to investigate.
