Experience How We Chose To Go The Moon Interactively

by Net-Net Tech, LLC on July 13, 2009

Forty-years ago a three man crew was set to leave the Earth bound for a three plus day travel mission that would end with two of the men landing and walking on the surface of the moon.  Today this seems rather mute to the youth of this world.

The power of thrust expelled immense force to lift the 6,500,000 lbs rocket.  Most impressive was the mission was initiated and accomplished by 1969.  That is forty-years ago.  Numerous other countries in 2009 are attempting their own lunar explorations.  This illustrates the shear ingenuity for the time to create the program and to leave the Earths atmosphere at such a young age.

You can experience a “play-by-play” event of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission at the Pre-Launch Nasa Website.  Twitter and the site will relive the experience over the course of the entire mission.  Sign-up to live the experience.
