Microsoft Actions Show Vista is Inferior

An opinion is a matter of one’s own interpretation.  Opinions must still ring loud and clear in Microsoft’s ears.  The company announced an extension to the beloved (lack of better words here) Windows XP.

Windows XP’s official “drop-dead” date continues to live on.  The history of this “drop-dead” date is an ongoing saga.  Now Microsoft states the official date is May 30th, 2009.

Many experts in the industry believe this is just a bridge from XP to Windows version 7.   Windows Vista is rarely seen in the corporate workplace.  Most companies continue to use XP.  Vista just does not produce enough improvement to motivate companies to migrate from XP to Vista.

The earliest release for Windows 7 is projected for late 2009.  Don’t be surprized if Windows XP’s official “drop-dead” date is extended until that time.  Why not?  It has already been extended numerous times since Vista was delivered to the market nearly two years ago.

The old saying of advise…..”don’t fix it, if it works”…….holds true in this case.  Why repair your computer if it works just fine with Windows XP.  Most projects, at least speaking for the St. Louis and Saint Charles County, MO, do not require an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Actions speak louder than  words.
