Saint Louis based a Emerson donated $4 million to the St. Louis Public Library.

The contribution is to both renovate and an expand the library. The library is seeking a total of $20 million in contributions for the project. The total restoration will cost a total of $74 million.

The renovation includes updated facilities that will change the original integrity of the design to provide additional services currently not hosted. This includes new HVAC, interior cleaning, and modern technology to improve the safe preservation and storage of important records.
