Like the smoke-and-mirrors of the past Network 1 Communications has now turned into a buzzard. Actually they are now a bee going by the company mascot. You got to give it to this company for their creativity.
Now that Timothy Huff is no longer with “Buzz Broadband” and/or Network 1 Communications, it appears the company is buzzing around performing some spring cleaning. Tim Huff, former CEO of Buzz Broadband, was fined $30,000, for allegedly causing GlobeTel (CEO of GlobeTel before Buzz Broadband) “to sell $1.6 million worth of GlobeTel common stock in 2005 in violation of the registration provisions of the federal securities laws.” This certainly is something the company management would love to buzz away into history
The company metamorphosis is not surprising considering their track record. Timothy Huff was replaced by Mike Cassity in August 2008 who is now president and CEO of Buzz Broadband. Recently the St. Louis Suburban Journals reported the name change in the article “Wireless Internet provider for O’Fallon changes name.” The company denies any relation between Timothy Huff’s exit and the name change.
The company historically has a record for the inundation of press releases and announcements in their marketing efforts. It appeared the company was operating “drama free” for a number of months in late 2008 with no press releases. After several search attempts on the computer, nothing was found on the Internet announcing the transfer of power to Mr. Mike Cassity until January 2009. This is understandable considering the circumstances.
Buzz Broadband network needs a physical repair and hopefully Mr. Mike Cassity is the doctor.
