That being said is directly from the OnGuard Online website. I could not have said it better myself. This is straight-forward and the point is education. The number of systems we do in a year to remove viral and malware infections is staggering. However, that is our job. No complaints.

The one secret, which is too well guarded, is educating those who need it. ”Educate my Grandma.” Not gonna do it even though she uses Facebook regularly. I have a 94 year old great aunt that plays games on Facebook what seems all day. Yes, she needs education on cyber-security. Send her to the website and read it.

If you are the designated tech that does all the computer repairs and networking in your family, get going and educate your family. Sounds nerdy, but it’s better than sitting up until 1:00 am trying to fix aunt Lulu’s infected PC. Especially if you don’t get paid.

Remembering back to the 1980′s, PC Magazine arrived on the scene in a timely matter and quickly rose to the leadership role of print media. The magazine now becomes a victim of the very topic it specializes in, technology.

The decision to end the printed magazine is mildly sad. If you are a true nerd, this publication was the playboy of technology. All kidding aside the magazine content is always loaded with informative content for PC enthusiasts. Many careers undoubtedly started by early readership of PC Magazine.

I still read PC Magazine as a professional in the industry of 20+ years. The copyright contains information of future products, industry trends, and common scenarios of current technology. You were able to read the magazine with articles on computer and network repair, business solutions with technology reviews, and future technology preparation.

Part of me is sad to see the print edition end. The good news is the online edition will continue. The Internet is the common denominator of all information. If there is a question the Internet has an answer.

Seek PC Magazine online. The only question is if they will change their name to PC iMagazine.

Missouri is one of 24 other states offering this type of service. The first school year is the 2007-2008 session.

VIP, Virtual Instruction Program, allows all schools in Missouri to offer students equal access to a wider range of coursework, more flexibility in scheduling, and learning online which is neither time nor place dependent.

If public, private, or home school students enroll in MoVIP courses as a part of their regular daily class schedules, they are eligible for funded seats during fall and spring semesters. There is no cost to the students, but there is limited availability during the early development phases of this new program.

All of Missouri’s public, private and home school students are entitled to apply for enrollment in MO-VIP.

You may contact VIP for any information. Signing up begins Monday, May 7th, 2007. Better hurry if you are interested.
